Volunteers needed!

Hi Everyone,

It may not feel like it yet, but spring is right around the corner! We’re gearing up for a big year at the Farm and we need your help!

We were awarded almost $25,000 to refresh the handicap accessible hoop house by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation! We are so excited to be able to offer even more innovative ways for patients to receive care in our beautiful space!

To get started we need to remove the existing raised beds, so bring your muscles and your friends and we’ll get this project off on the right track.

February dates:

February 8 9am-12pm

February 15 9am-12pm

Learn To, and Help Us Grow: A Call For Volunteers

The Farm at St. Joe’s is now accepting volunteers. Be a part of America’s first farm at a hospital. Breath some fresh air, learn gardening and farming skills, and get your body moving. After all, healthcare starts with the food and lifestyle choices we make.

Experiences include weeding, having fun, watering, harvesting, seedling production, honey bees, composting, and other farm fun. Programs associated with The Farm are growing and changing in exciting ways this spring and summer.

See below for volunteer applications and process information.

The Farm at St. Joe’s Program
The Farm at St. Joe’s program on the Ann Arbor campus utilizes volunteers in all aspects of farming. Individuals can assist on a weekly basis or we have one-day projects. If you are interested in being part of this new venture you can download the appropriate volunteer packet and then call us to set up an interview.
